Schooner Gold Hunter, in the
coasting trade, sailed for Virginia on the night of February 17th, 1854, and was
never afterward heard from.
She had a crew of five men, viz.

Murdoch McLane, mate
Sylvester LeBarron
Samuel Miller
Charles H. Rowe
Owned by the master and others. Valued at $4,500; insured
