(She was also survived by a step-brother, Ernest Vegliano.)  She was married to Salvatore E. VENTIMIGLIA (son of Phillipo VENTIMIGLIA and Stephina LOPICCOLO). Salvatore E. VENTIMIGLIA was born in 1872 in Terrasini, Sicily. He immigrated in 1899. He died on Oct 7 1960 in Gloucester, MA. Grazia FAVAZZA and Salvatore E. VENTIMIGLIA had the following children:

   1. Philip A. VENTIMIGLIA Sr. was born on May 23 1894 in Terrasini, Sicily. He immigrated in 1899 to New York, NY. He began barbering in 1914 when he came to Gloucester . He worked at Bill Rowe's Shop at 158 Main Street for $123.00 a week. Not long after, he set up his own shop at 28 Commercial Street. Phil's establishment became not only the place where Fort Square fishermen got their shave and haircut, but it was a place to socialize and play pool after he installed three full-sized pocket billiard tables at the shop.
      His last working years were from 1964 to 1970 at John McLean's Barber Shop on Main Street. He was a member of the Barber's Union for many years. He was a member of the Gloucester Unit of the Massachusetts State Guard Company L. He attended to the 1918 flu victims in tents set up at the Addison Gilbert Hospital. He also served in Boston during the police strike. He died on Jun 4 1990 in Gloucester, MA.
      He was married to Clotilde Grace SALEMME in 1921 in Gloucester, MA. Clotilde Grace SALEMME was born in 1905. Philip A. VENTIMIGLIA Sr. and Clotilde Grace SALEMME had one child.

   2. Stephanie (Stella) VENTIMIGLIA was born on May 8 1901 in Terrasini, Sicily. She was married to Paolo (Paul) F. LOVASCO (son of Salvatore LOVASCO and Concetta ZAPPA) on Oct 12 1919 in Gloucester, MA. Paolo (Paul) F. LOVASCO was born on Aug 14 1894 in Terrasini, Sicily. He immigrated in 1907.    3. Francisco T. (Frank Thomas) VENTIMIGLIA was born on Dec 3 1904 in Lawrence, MA. Frank worked as a foreman at fish plants in Gloucester for more than 60 years. The plants were Standard Fish Company, Fabet Fish Company, Empire Fish Company, North Atlantic Fisheries. He retired from Progressive Fish Company. He was married to Madeline M. SCOLA (daughter of John SCOLA and Grace). Madeline M. SCOLA was born on Feb 4 1912. Francisco T. (Frank Thomas) VENTIMIGLIA and Madeline M. SCOLA had seven children.  Frank died on Oct 20 1995 in Gloucester, MA.  

   4. Dominick VENTIMIGLIA was born on Aug 25 1907 in Lawrence, MA. He was a fish dealer between 1927 and 1971 in Gloucester, MA. He was married to Antonetta (Etta) PARISI (daughter of Francisco Paolo (Paul F.) PARISI and Caterina (Catherine) ORLANDO). Antonetta (Etta) PARISI was born on Oct 23 1913 in Detroit, MI. Dominick VENTIMIGLIA and Antonetta (Etta) PARISI had four children. Dominick died on Mar 28 1972 in Gloucester, MA.    Etta died on May 6 1996 in Gloucester, MA.

   7. Salvatore J. FAVAZZA was born on Apr 7 1923 in Lawrence, MA. He was a fisherman in 1938 in Boston, MA. He served as executive secretary of the Gloucester Fisheries Commission and was spokesman for the local fleet as an adviser to the International Commission for the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries. When he saw the 18-member nations of ICNAF failing in their functions of conserving the fish stocks off New England and providing for a stable fishing future, he took up the cause of the 200-mile limit. "If it had not been for his untiring efforts, " said 200-mile bill sponsor Rep. Gerry E. Studds, "there may well have never been a fisheries conservation act at all."  From the late 1960's, first as a member of the Fisheries Commission and as its executive secretary since 1966, Favazza let the voice of Gloucester be heard, appearing at countless hearings and meetings to plead for conservation and fisheries management. Sam took to the road, appearing in Washington, New York, Boston and wherever hearings were held.
      He was married to Mary J. ASPESI. Mary J. ASPESI died on Feb 9 1975 in Gloucester, MA. She was born dan 18 1926. Salvatore J. FAVAZZA and Mary J. ASPESI had two children.  He died on Nov 7 1976 in Gloucester, MA.

4. Giovanna FAVAZZA was born in 1878 in Terrasini, Sicily. She died on Sep 24 1934 in Gloucester, MA. She was married to Dominic LORENZO. Giovanna FAVAZZA and Dominic LORENZO had the following children:

5. Capt. Salvatore (Sam) FAVAZZA was born on Sep 7 1881 in Terrasini, Sicily. He immigrated in 1901. Capt. Favazza and his wife came to America in the early 1900's and resided in Gloucester since about 1910. He became a prominent fishing skipper and boat owner. He was a fisherman between 1902 and 1941 in Gloucester, MA. Favazza captained boats for 46 years, sailing a fishing boat from Sicily to North Africa, where he caught sardines and commanding 11 fishing boats once he came to America. Three of the boats were named after his patron saint St. Peter, patron saint of fishermen, who he believed saved him from any mishaps at sea. With his son, Capt. Benjamin Favazza, he had built the St. Peter II, which Capt. Benjamin skippered successfully. In 1961 he owned the St. Peter III, which was skippered by his son, Capt. Thomas. After retiring at age 60, he didn't go near the water though people offered him boat rides. He said he'd rather take the train.
   As youth he celebrated the Feast of St. Peter, and when he came here in 1907, he found that his countrymen were not celebrating the occasion with a fiesta. He did something bout that by enlisting the services of Deprato, a sculptor and painter from Charleston, who made a five-foot, 700 statue of St. Peter there. He then presented it to the Sicilian fishermen of Gloucester. Now fishermen of all nationalities participate in the four-day fiesta, and Favazza watched it grow from a small Italian-American neighborhood event to one renowned throughout New England. He died on Sep 14 1973 in Gloucester, MA.
   He was married to Maria LUCIDO. Maria LUCIDO was born on Jan 11 1889 in Terrasini, Sicily. She immigrated in 1908. She died in Dec 1977. Capt. Salvatore (Sam) FAVAZZA and Maria LUCIDO had the following children:

   1. Benjamin (Benny Red) FAVAZZA was born on Oct 21 1906 in Terrasini, Sicily. He immigrated in 1908. He died on Dec 5 1988.

   2. Peter FAVAZZA was born in 1908 in MA.

   3. Pasquale (Patsy) FAVAZZA was born in 1910 in MA.

   4. Catherine FAVAZZA was born in 1913 in MA.  She was married to Anthony LINQUATA (son of Marco LINQUATA and Rosalie ZANGARA) on Nov 28 1931 in Gloucester, MA.

   5. Thomas FAVAZZA was born in 1917 in MA.

   6. Agnes Ann FAVAZZA was born in Aug 1918 in MA.  She was married to Paul RUSSO. Agnes Ann FAVAZZA and Paul RUSSO had five children.

   8. Lawrenzia (Enzie) FAVAZZA was born on Sep 26 1923 in Gloucester, MA. She was married to Anthony S. GALLO. Anthony S. GALLO was born about Jul 26 1919. He died about Jun 10 1993. Lawrenzia (Enzie) FAVAZZA and Anthony S. GALLO had four children.  Enzie died on May 27 1991 in Gloucester, MA.

   10. Mary Grace FAVAZZA was born on Jul 20 1927 in Gloucester, MA.  She was married to Capt. Dominic NOVELLO (son of Bonaveturo NOVELLO and Vincenza PARISI) in 1946 in Gloucester, MA. Capt. Dominic NOVELLO was born on Mar 14 1924 in Gloucester, MA. He was a fisherman between 1940 and 1980 in Gloucester, MA. He was a fisherman out of Gloucester for over 40 years, and was the owner of the fishing vessel Capt. Scrod and Barbara Jean. He also served as vice president for five years at the Gloucester Marine Railways Corp. Mary Grace FAVAZZA and Capt. Dominic NOVELLO had six children.  Dominic died on Mar 2 1997 in Naples, FL.
       

6. Catherine FAVAZZA was born in 1882 in Terrasini, Sicily. She died on Jul 5 1958 in Gloucester, MA. She lived in Lawrence, MA.  She was married to Andrew ALUIA. Catherine FAVAZZA and Andrew ALUIA had the following children:

   1. Josephine A. ALUIA was born on Apr 30 1912 in Lawrence, MA. She died on Apr 18 1999 in Gloucester, MA. She was married to Samuel (Sam) PARISI (son of Nicholas PARISI and Mary SCOLA) in 1937 in Gloucester, MA. Samuel (Sam) PARISI was born on Jul 23 1913 in Gloucester, MA. He was a fisherman out of Gloucester for most of his life. He was an engineer aboard several fishing vessels, including the Curels, North Star and the Sunlight. He also had a fishing vessel built, the White Owl, which he owned and skippered. He was a member of the St. Peter's Club and the Seafarers International Union.  Josephine A. ALUIA and Samuel (Sam) PARISI had two children.   Sam died on May 24 1997 in Gloucester, MA.

   2. Margaret ALUIA was married to GRASSO.
      

7. Peter L. FAVAZZA Sr. was born on Dec 13 1888 in Terrasini, Sicily. He immigrated about 1897. An article in the Gloucester Daily Times dated August 20 1946 stated: "Capt. Favazza, who for the past 24 years has operated his grocery store and vessel supply store at 37 Commercial street, spoke of his native port, Palermo, Sicily, his entry into the United States in the late (18) 90's. He went to St. Louis, Mo., first and then to California, working in various places there, including the logging industry . He labored in the lead and gold mines of Arizona, and in silver mines in Mexico where they gave him a gun and made him a boss over Mexican help. One day, he overheard some of the Mexicans plotting to kill their "Gringo" bosses and he went to them and so argued with them on the matter that they changed their minds and worked harder for him, He stayed there until the time of Francisco (Pancho) Villa. Not being a citizen of Mexico, he with others from the United States were told to take their choice of staying there and becoming citizens or leaving the country. He returned to St. Louis then came east to Boston, went fishing out of Boston .
   He was a fisherman between 1917 and 1922 in Gloucester, MA., having a small trawler named Little Joe. He then owned a  grocery store , Peter Favazza and Sons, Ships Chandlers between 1922 and 1953 in Gloucester, MA. He outfitted from 20 to 35 draggers and seiners. He resided between 1953 and 1968 in San Pedro, CA. He died on Jan 2 1968 in San Pedro, CA. He was one of the founders of the St. Peter's Fiesta.  He was the first treasurer of the St. Peter's Club of Gloucester, holding the position for many years.
   He was married to Sarah LUCIDO on Dec 3 1917 in Gloucester, MA. Sarah LUCIDO was born in 1898. She died in 1964 in Gloucester, MA. Peter L. FAVAZZA Sr. and Sarah LUCIDO had the following children:

   1. Frank Paul FAVAZZA was born on May 2 1919 in Gloucester, MA. He died on Nov 5 1995 in Gloucester, MA. He first worked at his father's store, Peter Favazza and Sons, a grocery and boat supply store on Commercial Street. He then worked as a fisherman on several fishing vessels, including the Joise II, the Salvatore and the Felicia. In the 1950's he was a taxi cab driver for West End Taxi and was affectionately known as "Mackey the Hackey". From 1964 to 1984, he worked as a truck driver for Felicia Oil Company in Gloucester. He was well known among Gloucester fishermen for his special production of smoked fish.  He was a past president and former member of the St. Peter's Club.  He was married to Jennie Mary ORLANDO (daughter of Capt. Michael ORLANDO and Antoinette RANDAZZA) on Sep 2 1939 in Gloucester, MA. Frank Paul FAVAZZA and Jennie Mary ORLANDO had three children.

   5. Margaret FAVAZZA was married to Joseph (Peno) VENTIMIGLIA (son of Salvatore E. VENTIMIGLIA and Grazia FAVAZZA). Joseph (Peno) VENTIMIGLIA was born in 1913.

MISURACA (daughter of Gaetano (Thomas) MISURACA and Giovannina (Jennie) LOPICCOLO) in 1960 in Gloucester, MA. Grace F. MISURACA was born in 1928 in Gloucester, MA. Peter L. (Schloski) FAVAZZA Jr. and Grace F. MISURACA had four children.   He died on Nov 22 1995 in Gloucester, MA.
