the small craft was swamped in the surf off Rockaway Point, Queens, New York, late
yesterday afternoon, James Souza, Jr. of The Eva M. Martin , was drowned.

7th - Fisherman drowned in dive from
dragger The Bettina.

25th - After clinging to his
overturned dory for half an hour on Georges bank Saturday morning, Lawson Martin
became exhausted and slid to his death into the water, disappearing from sight of dragger
